WordCounter counts words, messages, attachments, emojis and the keywords you choose, for every member and channel. It keeps a monthly history, can count messages sent before it joined your server, and can run a swear jar that fines swearing as a game.

What it does

One command shows who leads in words, messages, attachments, emojis, keywords or swears, with a button to switch between them. Pick a channel to see its top members and its month-by-month history.

Member stats show anyone's totals, then page through each month with a per-channel breakdown. Right-click a member and pick User Stats to see the same thing without typing a command.

User Stats
Count one member's past messages using Discord's search, usually in a few minutes, or read every tracked channel, voice chat and thread in the server. Messages already counted live are skipped, so nothing is counted twice, and a long run picks up where it stopped if the bot restarts.

Track the whole server with an ignore list, or only the channels and categories you pick. Add the keywords you want counted, and reset counts for a member, a channel, both, or the whole server whenever you need a fresh start.

Log in with Discord to see your own counts in every server you share with WordCounter. If you can manage a server, you also get its leaderboards, every member's stats, its settings and its swear jar, here in the browser.
Every message in a tracked channel is counted as it's sent. Edit or delete a message and the counts are corrected. Attachments include files, stickers and links, and emojis include both standard and custom ones.
Pick words or phrases your server cares about, like an inside joke or a game's name, and see who says each one most.
Right-click a member for their stats, or a message for its word count or swear jar fine, without typing a command.
Every swear costs, in dollars or your own server tokens, and the debt only goes away with clean streaks. Members who never swear build up a wallet. Fight over the weekly Potty Mouth role, earn a clean streak role, and save up for a goal together. English and Polish swears and slurs are caught, even as leetspeak.
Fined messages get a 🫙 reaction, or are deleted with a notice that disappears after 5 seconds. Spamming swears doubles fines for 10 minutes. The jar stays off until a server manager turns it on, in Discord or on the dashboard, and past swears can be added to the Swears leaderboard without fining anyone.

Getting started
Type /help in Discord for a guide to every command, or browse them here.
Invite it to a server you manage. It reads the channels it tracks, so keep View Channels and Read Message History turned on for it.
Pick the whole server or specific channels, and add any keywords you want counted. Do it in Discord or here on the website.
